Futaba's CFRP PLATE can be applied to breadboards for experiments involving optics,

base plates for precision instruments, surface plates, and other assemblies. The material is suitable for various applications depending on your proposals! Take full advantage of it.

Features

 1. Lower thermal expansion and higher dimensional stability than aluminum

The 5.7×10-6/°C of FUTABA’s CFRP Plate vs. 23.8×10-6/°C of aluminum means Futaba’s CFRP PlLATE is much less affected by temperature change in the operating environment.

 2. Lightweight at half the weight of aluminum

The 1.3 of Futaba’s CFRP PLATE vs. 2.68 of aluminum (A5052) means for equivalent size, the weight is nearly halved, making it easy to carry.

 3. Lower infrared reflectance than black anodized aluminum.

Compared to black anodized aluminum products, those made of Futaba’s CFRP PLATE maintain lower reflectance over a broader range of wavelengths. (See the figures below.)

 4. Tapped holes with high strength in spite of being a resin

Supports tightening torque up to the 1.8T series. For example, in the case of an M6 screw, the maximum torque is 9.2 N-m.Generally, a resin allows a torque of 1 to 3 N-m. If the product needs to be held firmly, it can be tightened to a high torque.

 5. Excellent chemical resistance in spite of being a resin

Futaba’s CFRP PLATE has excellent chemical resistance against salt water, cutting oil, lubricating oil, alcohol, and other chemicals. Since it is a resin product, it is free from rusting.
